UISP & airMAX Wireless Portfolio

Mix and match radios, antennas, routers, and indoor APs to build a complete fixed wireless network — from tower backhaul to customer premises equipment (CPE) and in-home Wi-Fi.

Point-to-Point Backhaul Radios

airFiber • PowerBeam • LiteBeam • UISP Dish

PtP Backhaul

High-gain dish and bridge radios for long-range 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz links between towers, barns, outbuildings, or remote sites. Ideal for feeding smaller PtMP sectors or remote LANs.

5 GHz 2.4 GHz airFiber PowerBeam LiteBeam UISP Dish
Use cases Tower-to-tower • Farmyard PtP • Campus links

Point-to-Multipoint Sectors

airMAX Sector Antennas + Rocket Radios

PtMP Access

Base-station sectors with Rocket or Prism radios for serving groups of CPE like NanoBeam, LiteBeam, and PowerBeam subscribers over 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz.

5 GHz 2.4 GHz airMAX Sector Rocket PrismStation
Use cases WISP towers • Rural clusters • Multi-building sites

Subscriber CPE Radios

NanoBeam • LiteBeam • PowerBeam • Bullet

CPE / SM

Compact client radios for homes, shops, and outbuildings. Use NanoBeam, LiteBeam, and PowerBeam for directional links, or Bullets for custom antennas and special scenarios.

5 GHz 2.4 GHz NanoBeam LiteBeam PowerBeam Bullet
Use cases Residential CPE • Farms • Outbuildings

Edge Routers & Gateways

EdgeRouter • UISP Router / Router Pro

Routing

Flexible routers for tower sites, core hand-off, and subscriber edge. Manage with UISP, web UI, or CLI, and integrate QoS, VLANs, and routing for fixed wireless networks.

EdgeRouter X / 4 / 6P UISP Router UISP Router Pro
Use cases Core routing • CPE gateway • Tower aggregation

Indoor Wi-Fi & Subscriber APs

airCube AP • Dual-band 2.4 / 5 GHz

In-Home Wi-Fi

Provide clean in-home coverage with airCube APs at the customer site. Bridge the outdoor CPE link into a friendly Wi-Fi experience for laptops, TVs, and phones.

2.4 GHz 5 GHz airCube AC / ISP
Use cases Subscriber Wi-Fi • Rental units • Small offices

UISP Management & Monitoring

UISP Cloud • UISP Console / Router

Management

Centralize provisioning, firmware, and performance monitoring of airMAX, UISP routers, and CPE radios. Track signal, throughput, and client health from a single dashboard.

UISP Cloud UISP Console Device monitoring
Use cases NOC views • WISP ops • SLA monitoring

Pick the Right Gear for Each Link

Use 5 GHz for higher throughput and cleaner spectrum when possible. Keep 2.4 GHz in your toolkit for foliage, legacy gear, and special coverage scenarios.

Short-Range PtP (0–2 km)
LiteBeam / NanoBeam, 5 GHz where clear line-of-sight exists. Great for barns, sheds, and outbuildings on the same property.
Mid-Range PtP (2–10 km)
PowerBeam / UISP Dish or airFiber, 5 GHz high-gain. Use narrow channels and tune alignment carefully for stable throughput.
Dense / Noisy Areas
Mix 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz as needed. Consider higher-gain dishes and cleaner channels, with sectors pointed away from interference.

Quick Design Tips

  • Start with PtP backhaul from your primary internet feed to towers or main buildings using airFiber, PowerBeam, or UISP dishes.
  • Layer PtMP sectors (airMAX sectors with Rocket radios) off those points to serve multiple CPE like NanoBeam and LiteBeam.
  • Use EdgeRouters / UISP Routers at tower and core locations for routing, QoS, and VLAN segmentation.
  • Terminate CPE at an airCube AP or similar subscriber gateway to provide clean in-home or in-office Wi-Fi.
  • Monitor with UISP so you can see signal levels, throughput, and client health across all airMAX and UISP devices.
  • Document channels & frequencies to avoid self-interference and keep seasonal foliage changes in mind.
* Link distances and throughput depend heavily on RF environment, regulations, antenna alignment, and local conditions. Always follow regional spectrum rules and best practices.
